Terms and Conditions

Last updated: [insert date]

By using our website and/or purchasing Jeen Health services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use our website or purchase our services.

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Jeen Health website (the “Website”) and to any services or products purchased via Jeen Health, including telehealth consultations, at-home test kits, blood collection services, and laboratory testing.

1. About Jeen Health and our services

Jeen Health is a digital healthcare service offering:

  • Online genetic counselling consultations (and, where applicable, online midwife counselling for NIPT)
  • At-home genetic and screening test kits
  • Optional blood collection via third-party phlebotomy providers (including at-home phlebotomy)
  • Laboratory analysis through accredited laboratory partners

Jeen Health is a trading name of Ultrasound Link Ltd (Company No. 12147431).

Jeen Health does not provide emergency care. If you need urgent medical attention, contact NHS 111 or 999.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase services from Jeen Health (unless a specific service explicitly allows otherwise and is arranged through appropriate parental/guardian consent and lawful basis).

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Website
  • attempt unauthorised access to any systems
  • submit false information
  • use the Website for unlawful purposes

3. Medical information and clinical limitations

Content on the Website is provided for general information only and is not a substitute for personalised medical advice.

Decisions about healthcare should not be made solely on the basis of Website content. You should consult your GP or relevant clinician where appropriate.

Genetic testing and screening have limitations. A “normal/low-risk” result does not guarantee the absence of a condition, and an “increased risk/positive” result may require confirmatory testing and clinical follow-up.

4. Ordering and how the service works

4.1 Purchasing

Purchases are made online via Webflow eCommerce. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Jeen Health does not store your full payment card details.

4.2 Booking consultations

Counselling appointments are scheduled using Semble (our booking and patient management system).

4.3 Service sequence (typical)

Depending on the service purchased:

  1. You purchase a test package on the Website
  2. You book and attend an online counselling appointment
  3. A test kit is shipped and/or a blood draw is arranged
  4. Your sample is analysed by an accredited laboratory partner
  5. Results are delivered securely, with appropriate clinical explanation or follow-up where included

5. Third-party providers (phlebotomy and laboratories)

To deliver your service, Jeen Health works with trusted third-party providers, including:

5.1 Phlebotomy / blood collection

Blood collection may be provided by third-party phlebotomy partners, including Inuvi (at-home phlebotomy). Where blood collection is performed by a third party, their availability, service area, and operational processes may apply.

5.2 Laboratories and clinic partners

Samples may be analysed by accredited laboratories and/or processed through partner clinic networks, including Randox in certain locations. Laboratory processing times and acceptance criteria may vary.

Jeen Health is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (see section 14), including courier disruption, laboratory backlogs, or third-party appointment availability.

6. Prices and what is included

Each package description on the Website explains what is included (e.g., counselling, kit, lab analysis, and results).

Where optional services are offered (e.g., phlebotomy), those may be charged separately or itemised within the package depending on the product.

7. Refund and cancellation policy

Because Jeen Health packages include professional consultations and laboratory services, refunds differ from standard product purchases.

7.1 Cancelling before laboratory testing

If you decide not to proceed with laboratory testing after your consultation, you may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on the service:

a) Cancer Genetic Screening

  • Total package: £660
  • Includes a 45-minute genetic counselling session (value £110)
If you do not proceed with the test after the consultation, £110 will be retained and the remaining balance refunded.

b) Carrier Screening

  • Total package: £660
  • Includes a 30-minute pre-test genetic counselling session (value £80)
If you do not proceed with the test, £80 will be retained and the remaining balance refunded.

c) NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Test)

  • Package price: £295–£1,490 (depending on test selected)
  • Includes a 20-minute midwife counselling session (value £50)
If you do not proceed with the test after counselling, £50 will be retained and the remaining balance refunded.

7.2 Blood collection fees (non-refundable)

Once your blood sample has been collected, your booking is considered in progress.

Blood collection fees are non-refundable, as this service is delivered by third-party phlebotomy partners (including at-home providers) and covers clinician time, consumables, handling, and logistics.

7.3 Refund eligibility conditions

Refunds are only available if:

  • your sample has not been collected, and
  • your sample has not been sent to the laboratory.

Refunds are not available for:

  • completed consultations,
  • completed blood collections,
  • tests already in laboratory processing,
  • partially completed services (e.g., sample collected but not yet analysed),
  • tests purchased through third-party providers or referral partners.

7.4 Damaged or incomplete kits

If you receive a damaged or incomplete kit, contact us within 24 hours of delivery at my@jeen.health with your order number and photos. Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement kit at no additional cost.

7.5 Refund processing

If a refund is approved, it will be returned to the original payment method. We aim to process refunds within 5–10 working days (timing may vary depending on your bank/card provider).

8. Rescheduling consultations

If you need to reschedule your online counselling appointment, please follow the rescheduling instructions provided in your booking confirmation, or contact my@jeen.health.

Where a late cancellation or missed appointment results in a completed or partially delivered service (e.g., clinician time allocated), we may treat the consultation as provided and it may be non-refundable.

9. Delivery and returns of at-home kits

Delivery timelines may vary based on your location and courier operations. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

Due to the nature of healthcare testing kits, once a kit has been dispatched, it may not be possible to accept returns unless the kit is damaged, incomplete, or sent in error.

10. Results, turnaround times, and “no result” outcomes

Turnaround times vary depending on the test and laboratory. Any estimates shown are not guaranteed.

In some cases, a test may produce an inconclusive or “no result/no call” outcome. Where this happens, we will explain the available options (which may include a repeat sample, depending on the laboratory and product terms).

11. Privacy and data protection

Your use of Jeen Health is also governed by our Privacy Notice, which explains how we collect and use personal and special category data (including genetic and health data).

12. Intellectual property

All content on this www.jeen.health (including text, design, branding, images, and materials) is owned by or licensed to Ultrasound Link Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may print or download extracts for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, or exploit Website content for commercial purposes without written permission.

13. Links to other websites

The Website may include links to third-party websites. Jeen Health is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.

14. Limitation of liability and force majeure

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where unlawful to do so, including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

Jeen Health will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) courier disruption, laboratory capacity issues, IT outages, or third-party provider unavailability.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website at the time you use the Website or purchase services will apply.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
