In line with our flexible, prevention-first approach, Jeen Health offers multiple convenient options for how you provide your DNA sample for NIPT:
Jeen Clinic Network (+£40): For a traditional blood draw by a professional, you can visit one of our partner clinics. Jeen Health has a network of roughly 40 clinics across the UK, so you can likely find one nearby. In clinic, a trained phlebotomist will take a small blood sample (quick and easy) and send it to our lab. This in-person option is convenient if you’d like a professional to handle the draw, and it incurs a modest additional fee of £40.
Home Visit (+£65): Want the convenience of a clinic-quality blood draw without leaving home? We offer home visits where a certified nurse comes to your address (home or work) to draw your blood. This white-glove service costs an additional £65, but many patients value the comfort and time saved. It’s a fantastic option for busy parents, those with limited mobility, or anyone who just prefers a one-on-one at home.
Absolutely – if you’d like to know. As part of the analysis, NIPT can look at the sex chromosomes (X and Y). We offer fetal sex determination as an optional add-on. If you do want to learn the sex, we will include that in your results. If you prefer to keep it a surprise, we simply won’t report on it. The choice is yours.
The NHS currently provides NIPT (sometimes called the cfDNA test) in certain cases, primarily for high-risk pregnancies identified by the standard screening program. For example, if an NHS combined screening indicates a higher risk for Down’s syndrome, NIPT may be offered through NHS fetal medicine units.
However, NHS access is limited, it might not be available to everyone or you may have to meet specific criteria. Private NIPT services like Jeen Health’s are open to anyone. We offer a comprehensive package with counselling and fast results, which many families choose for peace of mind even if they’re not eligible for NHS NIPT.
Yes – NIPT is 100% safe for you and your baby. The test is termed “non-invasive” because it does not involve any procedure that could harm the pregnancy. It typically uses a regular blood sample from the mother’s arm or a cheek swab; there’s no risk of miscarriage or complications. It’s as safe as a standard blood test. Many women feel relief choosing NIPT because it provides information without any physical risk.
Our package price includes the kit or clinic visit, counselling, lab processing and report. There are no hidden fees. You will be charged extra if you choose to have your sample collection in Brighton organised by us.
Jeen Health’s NIPT is available throughout Brighton & Hove.
